Executive Search Cost Effectiveness

Search firm pricing is a top concern for executive search buyers. When it comes to senior-level positions, it's natural to ask, "What does an executive search cost?" At Pride Company, we offer boutique services with low overhead and a direct, efficient approach.

Going Out to Search or Do It Yourself?

The first question a company needs to answer is whether they should manage the executive search internally or partner with a search firm. Most companies opt for a search firm when a position is critical enough to justify the cost. In-house teams may not have the time or expertise to handle it themselves.
For companies that have to go “out to search”, we offer three pricing models to suit different needs: retained search, contingency search and flat fee pricing model.

1. Retained Search Model

The Retained Search Model focuses on securing the best talent for senior-level roles. We typically recruit passive candidates who are not actively seeking new opportunities. This model involves strategy, research, candidate vetting, offer positioning, and closing. Our monthly fees start at $6,000, depending on the complexity and number of hires.

2. Contingency Search Model

Under our "no cure, no pay" model, we are only paid once we successfully place a candidate. This model focuses on recruiting active candidates, primarily for staffing and mid-level roles, with annual compensation below $300,000. Our fee ranges between 12% and 24% of the candidate's first-year salary.

3. Flat Fee Pricing Model

The flat-fee pricing model is suitable for roles with wide compensation ranges or a large pool of candidates. Search fees for successful placements can range between $8,000 and $50,000, depending on the volume of candidates and the complexity of the role.
